The unforgettable Melina  Mercouri had said: “I hope, before I die to see the marbles of the Parthenon in Greece. But if they return after I die, I will reborn”.

My dear children, I strongly believe that one day  Melina will be reborn. It’s about time  Melina’s vision  to come true. A vision that expresses not only  the Greek people but  the whole world’s  public opinion as well. Committees that have been set up in many countries, various bodies, organizations and personalities from all over the world are pushing more and more the authorities of  the British Museum. But there is need for our own voice to be heard as well. The voice of the ordinary Greek people. The voice of  the young people . The  voice of yours. The whole world  should be  informed that the Greek people, who have been denied the most important piece of their cultural heritage for two centuries , urge  the UK to return  these cultural treasures which are the soul and the identity of Greece .
